Chefs compete for prestigious titles
Chefs from all over the country this weekend tested their culinary skills in Malta Kulinarja, a cooking competition organised by the Malta Chefs Society.
The Malta Chefs Society was set up earlier this year to bring together the Malta Cookery and Food Association and the Malta Culinary Association.
The amalgamation was aimed at avoiding duplication and making the best use of resources.
Titles up for grabs during the competition included Chef of the Year, Patisierre of the Year and Junior Chef of the Year.
There was also a master chef competition and competing displays of works in fat, chocolate, marzipan and pastillage.

Shame that one struggles to find decent food, in my area of Qawra. The hotels around here wants to sell weekend breaks, and the food one gets in the buffet that these places dish out is horrific. Fresh food, my buttock. Cowboys.
The only value for money that one can get around here, believe it or not, is in the Kebab shops.
