New publications

Physics online journal

My Physics is a new online journal devoted to physics and its teaching, recently launched by the Junior College Physics department.

The first issue, which may be viewed at www.jc.um.edu.mt/physics/my_physics, deals with inclusion in the school laboratory, homework, Sec level physics as an adequate preparation for A- Level studies, and learning physics outside the classroom.

The editorial board is currently accepting papers for the second issue.

Prospective contributors, including undergraduates wishing to publish their dissertation findings, may contact the editorial board - Martin Farrell, Russell Mizzi, Jacqueline Pace and Paul Xuereb by e-mail at myphysics@jc.um.edu.mt.

Arts education in Europe

The new Eurydice report on Arts and Cultural Education at School in Europe is available at http://eurydice.org . The study provides a detailed picture of the aims and objectives of full-time compulsory arts education in 30 European countries, including Malta.
