Touch and taste Christmas

A Christmas market will be held at San Anton School, at L-Imselliet, limits of Mġarr, tomorrow.

Apart from wooden stalls selling anything one would need for Christmas, there will also be a Foodie Section with Marks and Spencer Christmas treats, Sicilian artisan delicacies, a spice stall and chocolates together with a Craft Section where various craftsmen will be at work.

Traditional festive sweets, mulled wine or cocoa and traditional imbuljuta will also be available.

At Santa's Grotto, children will be able to meet Malta's official Santa Claus and children will present a live crib. A wooden stable has been purposely built for the crib in the school picnic area under a large carob tree. Thanks to neighbouring farmers, the stable will also house live sheep, lambs and a donkey.

In order to allow parents to do their Christmas shopping at their leisure, the organisers have planned a number of activities for children such as storytelling, art and craft workshops by artists C.S. Laurence and Graham Woodall.

The Christmas market and live crib will be open from 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entrance is free.
