Further to what ohters have said I ask one thing, can we hear from the Nuns themselves, I bet that they would have a thing or two to say about what they go through.We Maltese are selfish by nature and under the stress that the people staying there are,I would believe that this comes out more and more. As for you, your excelency and Mrs Abela God bless you for the humility you are showing, may we as a nation learn from this, maybe we will start wearing shoes that fit our feet.

Well done Mr President,you really are close to the common people. Mrs Abela too is a shining example of how a president's wife should be.As for the nun's behaviour ,according to what Mr Casha and Mr Borda are saying,I think it is does not fit their calling. Remember that relatives of sick and dying patients must be desperately heartbroken,especially if it's a little child.

I totally agree with Mr.Casha...as my family experinced the same experince with these Nuns......6 years ago we were in London same place with my late Father and it was really bad service and we paid good money for accomodation.......after we return back I had personally reported to CCF high officals.............

As much as i appreciate the help that the franciscan sisters gave me and my wife i can't help but point out that their way of thinking is far from what patients need.

I was not allowed to have breakfast with my then sick wife as they have a policy that sick patients have to eat in a different room from their relatives. And when i told them that my wife was being kept in hospital as there is no cure for her they instantly asked me to move out because they needed the rooms (pointing out that none of the tourists that were staying in the hotel were asked to move out, obviously they were paying more than i was for my accomodation there)

Leading by example...and being close to those of our society who are most in need.
