President visiting Maltese patients in London
President and Mrs George Abela are in London to meet Maltese who are there for medical treatment.
Dr and Mrs Abela are staying with the Franciscan nuns in Victoria, where Maltese patients and their relatives who are sent to London for treatment are housed.
The visit, which was made possible through the HSBC Cares For Children Fund, is part of the Istrina preparations, which this year is being organised by the Malta Community Chest Fund.
President and Mrs Abela are expected back in Malta on Monday.

I was not allowed to have breakfast with my then sick wife as they have a policy that sick patients have to eat in a different room from their relatives. And when i told them that my wife was being kept in hospital as there is no cure for her they instantly asked me to move out because they needed the rooms (pointing out that none of the tourists that were staying in the hotel were asked to move out, obviously they were paying more than i was for my accomodation there)
