Five sixth year seminarians have been instituted acolytes during a celebration at the Floriana parish church.

The new acolytes are Stephen Attard from Mosta, Rene’ Antoine Cilia from the parish of St George, Qormi, Nicholas Dimech from Siggiewi, Stephen Magro from Zabbar and David Torpiano from Floriana.

This marked another step in the seminarians’ formation for priesthood. As acolytes they will assist priests and deacons in their ministry, distribute the Eucharist to their fellow brothers and sisters including the sick, continue to grow in their personal love for the Eucharist and act and speak in a way which made them worthy servants of the Lord and the Church.

The Seminary Community encouraged prayers for more vocations and for the Lord to bless all seminarians for the Church to always have shepherds who lived according to the Lord’s will.
