Somali immigrant jailed
Somali immigrant Abdul Khadr, whose application for a refugee status has been denied, was jailed for two months after pleading guilty to trying to leave Malta with a Dutch passport belonging to someone else.
Legal aid lawyer Renzo Porsella Flores asked the court to take into consideration that Somalia had now become a state of complete lawlessness and that deporting Mr Khadr was not an option.

@ L Micallef Capello. Because it is illegal to travel without proper decuments. The documents might have been ok but were not his.

If his lawyer is so concerned about his well being, why doesn't he take him home and adopt him!

Why sending him to jail?
Why not letting him go wherever he wants? It would be better for him and us at the same time.

It is an option. We cannot allow illegal immigrants to take over our country. He could have stayed in Libya or another country that he went through.
