The Labour Party does not believe it is useful at this stage to debate an "inconclusive report" at a House Select Committee on the black dust problem in the south of Malta.
Spokesman for the environment Leo Brincat said in a statement the PL believed such a discussion should only be held once all investigations and tests were concluded, once the source of the black dust was definitely established and after the government would have prepared a plan of action of how this problem should be solved.
He said it was shameful that the conclusions in the latest report of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority stated that the authority was still to systematically analyse the data collected from its air quality stations to identify possible sources.
