Motorsport spectacular in aid of charity
This year's Paqpaqli Għall-Istrina will be a motorsport spectacular at Malta International Airport on December 13.
The charity event, organised by Tonio Darmanin, is entering its fourth year. A number of fast cars and motorsport models, ranging from the very old to the ultra-modern, will be demonstrated at the airport taxiway and in one of Lufthansa Technik's hangars.
Various motorsport clubs will be taking part in the event. The event will also feature races, go karting, a squad bike activity and even some extreme off-roading. Visitors will be able to take a helicopter ride, with part of the money going towards the annual fund-raising event L-Istrina being held on Boxing Day.
Capt. Mark Mallia, on behalf of the Malta Community Chest Fund, presented 15 L-Istrina collection boxes to Michael Peresso Jnr, director of Michele Peresso Group of Companies.

The government's Strina reward to motorsport enthusiats is a 6.5% 'registration tax' on racing cars, go-karts and offroad bikes. We are now at the bottom and digging furiously.
