Executive Training Institute (ETI) Malta has been appointed as recognised collaborative partner for the University of Greenwich in Malta.
The appointment, a spokesman explained, provided the possibility for students to continue to read for University of Greenwich degrees in Malta, which, he added, are ranked highly within the computing and mathematics disciplines.
ETI will launch its programme of degrees in January with the MSc Information Systems Management (ISM). This postgraduate degree is recognised as a Level 7 within the Malta Qualifications Framework. A briefing session on the course will be held at ETI - ESE Building, Paceville Avenue, St Julians - tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. when details relating to eligibility, course programme and funding options will be addressed.
C.J. Falzon, academic course coordinator for ETI and link tutor to the University of Greenwich programmes, said: "The School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences within the University of Greenwich has been offering BSc Computing and postgraduate courses in ICT in Malta for the past 10 years with exceptional results."
He said that through the use of the latest technology all ETI students would have direct online access to all learning resources available to resident University of Greenwich students.
ETI director general Franco E. Debono noted that, according to the Times Guide 2010, the University of Greenwich ranked first in the UK for student satisfaction for computing sciences and second for mathematics.
He said ETI would offer the education programmes not just to Maltese residents but also to foreigners.
