Rise in jobless
Unemployment has gone up, with the number of those registering for work in October amounting to 7,333, an increase of 982 persons over the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Office.
There was an increase of 16.1 per cent in the number registered unemployed in Malta over October last year, with a 10.5 per cent increase in Gozo.

The thousands of foreigners you talk of are either investors setting up businesses, or taking up positions that Locals are skilled in, and the illegal immigrants are doing the jobs that Locals do not want, or will NOT do.
Please come into the REAL world, and not try to drag Malta back into the dark ages.

This is apart from the thousands of foreigners and illegal immigrats being allowed to work in Malta robbing the Maltese workers of their work and lowering the wages and working conditions for which the Maltese workers have made great sacrifices.

Of what I have witnessed in a 5 Star Hotel in Floriana over the past few days, the number of unemployed will be on the increased, never felt so alone all i could see was staff running around, hardly any tourists.

A 16% RISE IN JOBLESS NOT JOBS IN ONE YEAR, PN BLINDFOLDERS.
THATS ANOUTHER STUNNING 982 FAMILY MEMBERS WITHOUT INCOME TO MAKE GOOD FOR THE UNBEARABLE COST OF LIVING.
AND YET, ALTHOUGH BETTER THAN NOTHING, WE GET THE FLASH NEWS AND ALL THE TRUMPHETS THAT GONZIPN PROMISING 300 NEW JOBS IN 3 YEARS.
ABSOLUTLY UNBELEAVABLE!!!!!!
