The Malta Tourism Authority and Air Malta held three days of special promotion for Malta in Paris earlier this month when seven 'Smart' cars wrapped with images of Malta were driven around the streets and boulevards of the French capital.

The promotion targeted the main working districts of Paris, with each car making six stops per day. The goal of the exercise was to promote travel to Malta in the final two months of 2010 with Air Malta's special tariff of €149 including taxes.

The drivers distributed flyers at every stop.

The MTA's director, Southern Europe, Simon Kamsky, commented that: "The street marketing action in Paris allowed Malta to communicate its message in a different and more original manner, which was also cost effective and targeted".
