Industrial action by dentists in governemnt clinics
The UHM has ordered industrial action by dentists employed by the governemnt following its failure to promote four dental surgeons.
The union said an agreement reached a year ago was not being respected.
The union has directed the dentists not to perform administrative work and not to perform any fillings, work on dentures and braces. Emergency services will still be provided at Mater Dei Hospital and health centres. The actions start on Wednesday.

Haddiem mal-privat qalbhom hierga u diehla ghax ma jafux jekk ghada jiehdux s-sensja waqt li dak li jahdmu mal-Gvern mohhom mistrieh u baqghu sejrin jitolbu z-zidid u promozzjonijiet qiesu ma hawnx l-ebda recessjoni dinija. Biex ikun hemm gustizzja messu l-Gvern jiddikkjara ' a wage and promotion freeze" sakemm is-sitwazzjoni tigi ghan normal.

WHAT ABOUT GOVERNMENT PHARMACISTS?
With all due rispect for Dentists, can we also have the pharmacist's strike of last Saturday on The Times? Government pharmacies were closed all day last Saturday and I feel that the general public ought to know why.
