Darren Dods's last-minute winner saw Dundee United beat Celtic 2-1 yesterday as the Tangerines recorded their first Scottish Premier League win over the Glasgow giants in 10 years.
United hit the net twice in the final seven minutes after their former midfielder Barry Robson had scored from the penalty spot in the 71st minute at Tannadice having been tripped in the box by Dods.
In the 83rd minute, Jon Daly, on for Damian Casalinuovo in his first competitive game since April following a knee injury, headed the equaliser from Danny Swanson's corner before United captain Dods nodded home the winner with seconds remaining to seal the victory.
Daly, who didn't expect to play yesterday, thanked United manager Craig Levein for keeping faith with him and said the significance of this win could not be underestimated.
"When you go a goal down it's always going to be tough against Celtic," Daly said.
"But we showed great character and there were two great balls from Swanny (Danny Swanson) from the corners and me and Dodsy managed to get our heads on them."
Victory saw United move level on points with third-placed Hibernian and left them two adrift of second-placed Celtic, with a game in hand, and three behind leaders Rangers.
