Name: Malta Association of Dental Students (MADS).

Vision and mission: MADS is a senate-recognised non-profit association that represents students studying at the Faculty of Dental Surgery. It aims to promote the study of dentistry in Malta and protect the interest of all local dental students.

The association also seeks to promote student exchanges, organise social, sporting, educational and cultural activities, and play an active role in dental education and public health promotion.

It is affiliated with the International Association of Dental Students (IADS).

Best achievement: MADS successfully organised and hosted the IADS annual world congress for the third time in 2000. In October 2008 association members held visits to schools and scout groups as part of a campaign to promote oral hygiene.
