Bezzina bows out

Duncan Bezzina is out of the IBSF World Championships, currently being played in Hyderabad, India.

The Senglea-born cueist, who had booked his place in the KO stages after placing third in Group M, lost to Welsh players Philip Williams 4-0 in the Last 64 yesterday.

Malta champion Alex Borg and Simon Zammit will be back in action this morning.

Borg, who on Friday eased past Ireland's Greg Casey 4-0, will face India's Kamal Chawla for a place in the Last 16.

In the masters competition, Zammit will be looking to book a place in the quarter-finals when he takes on India's Devandra Joshi.
