Blood donation drive

The Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA) recently organised a blood donation drive in front of its offices in Blata l-Bajda. MITA is the prime government agency with a mandate to implement ICT policy, programmes and initiatives in Malta.

For this initiative, MITA partnered with other entities, including the Foundation for Medical Services, the Management Efficiency Unit and the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality.

The coordinator of the drive, Noel Tabone, said: "It was a success and the willingness of employees to contribute towards saving lives was inspiring." The drive managed to attract over 50 donors.

The National Blood Transfusion Centre at St Luke's Square, Guardamangia, is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., including Sundays and public holidays.
