Philatelic exhibition in Victoria
A philatelic exhibition is on show at the Gozo Ministry in St Francis Square, Victoria.
It includes material collected by children and adults. The section dedicated to adults consists of three sections: Gozo and the post, postal history and social philately.
Prizes and certificates will be distributed during the Gozo Philatelic Society annual general meeting in January. At the opening of the exhibition, Maltapost chairman Joseph Said said that the new definitive stamp set will include three Gozo-related designs.
Maltapost commemorated its participation in the exhibition with a card and hand-stamp.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary, the Gozo Philatelic Society issued personalised stamps and covers. These can be obtained by e-mailing secretary@stamps-gozo.org.
The exhibition is open today between 9 a.m. and noon.

When will Maltapost stop doing crazy prices for their products. Last official philatelic card was sold for Euro3.50 when this was sold for Lm0.50c until last year. What a difference. To add further contrary to other postal bureaus the stamp programme is not made public. Now we hear from Mr. Said that a definitive (15 piece set at least!!! let away the price) is on the way with no particular mention of title and subject! Things were more serious at least by the begining of this year but somehow now everything is getting weird, with no details given whatsoever on future issues. Please stop stealing old philatelists and discourage young ones. Be more serious like you used to be!
