An 'unforgettable' evening at the Astra
The 'Unforgettable' dance show delighted a packed house at the Astra Theatre in Victoria on November 14. It was presented by Centrestage Dance Academy under the direction of Natalie Sciortino who also choreographed the show.
A cast of 150 dancers and 30 choir members gave an excellent performance which was very well received by the audience. Elaborate costumes and spectacular lighting and projections complemented each of the 30 numbers in the programme.
The show incorporated various dance styles including classical ballet, jazz and hip hop to the music of popular songs of renowned artists such as Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Enrique Iglesias, Madonna, Abba, Bee Gees and The Beatles. Ms Sciortino's choreographies to the songs Xemx and L-Ahhar Bidwi were very well received.
