This year's 'Library of the Year' award was recently awarded to Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary, Naxxar.

George Borg, director of the Student Services Department and Mary Rose DeBono, service manager, Projects and Initiatives, presented the award and a €235 book token to school head Pauline Miceli and Marcel Zammit Marmarà, who leads its team of librarians.

The award criteria includes the libraries' general environment, the extent that books are up-to-date, their use by students and teachers, and the libraries' use of technology.
