Tug Malta launches €10.7m vessel

Kate Gonzi, the Prime Minister's wife, yesterday week officially named Tug Malta's new €10.7 million tug boat, MT Spinola. The ceremony was held at the Valletta Waterfront and was attended by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, Rimorchiatori Group president Giovanni delle Piane and Tug Malta Ltd chairman John Sullivan. The 80-ton harbour and escort terminal was ordered from the Spanish shipyard Armon S.A. and has oil spillage recovery, rescue, and fire fighting capabilities. It is Tug Malta's sixth vessel.
