Hibernians lost a chance to gain sole leadership of the premier league this afternoon when they unexpectedly went down 3-2 at the Hibs Ground.

Hibs got got off to a bad start when Etienne Barbara missed a penalty in the eighth minute. Twenty minutes later Clifton Ciantar gave the greens the lead and Ryan Darmanin made the score 2-0 just under 10 minutes later.

Oleg Malasenoks gave Hibs fresh hope by scoring in the 38th minute but Floriana regained their two-goal lead with an own goal by Edward Herrera.

Floriana had Julian Briffa sent off in the 51st minute and Malasenoks scored his second for Hibs on the 90th nminute, but the recovery came too late.
