Borg and Zammit march on

Alex Borg and Simon Zammit maintained their winning form at the IBSF World Championships, currently being played in Hyderabad, India.

Borg booked his place in the Last 32 of the men's competition with an emphatic 4-0 win over Ireland's Greg Casey. It was another fine performance from the Malta champion who will now face home player Kamal Chawla for a place in the Last 16.

Duncan Bezzina completed his Group M commitments with a 4-3 win over Scotland's Bobby Cruickshanks. The Maltese player will meet Philip Williams, of Wales, in the Last 64 today.

In the masters competition, Simon Zammit moved into the Last 16 when he eased past China's Ng Yam Shui 4-2. Zammit will be in action again tomorrow when he plays India's Devandra Joshi for a place in the quarter-finals.
