Updated: Driver critically injured in crash
Adds picture: A 29-year-old man from Siggiewi was critically injured this morning when his car crashed into the wall of a private residence in Ibrag.
The accident happened at about 4.40 a.m. The man was driving a Maruti Gypsy when the accident happened
He was assisted by the police and rescuers from the Civil Protection Department and was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital for intensive treatment.
Magistrate A Demicoli is holding an inquiry.

Dear Mr. Tanti, allegedly the driver lost control of his vehicle and crossed two lines of ibrag road, before crashing into the wall on the opposite side of the road. So clearly the wall is not the issue in this case. Hope the driver makes a full recovery.

Said obstructed footpath has long been a criticial issue,
unsafe obstruction both to traffic flow and pedestrians alike,
for the past years local and national authorities did nothing effectively to remedy....
will anybody shoulder responsability and take action, now?
