Call centres are a case in point, where workers are engaged on short contracts, thus increasing insecurity and making it difficult for workers to plan their future and obtain services such as bank loans. From many studies carried out, it results that the efficiency of workers on a fixed contract is low when compared with other workers who are in a secure job. This because workers on contract feel estranged from their work.
