Hibernians will meet Marsaxlokk in the fourth round of the National League 100 Anniversary Cup as the draw of last 16 stage of this one-off competition was made yesterday.
Seventeen teams were in the pot, including Valletta and Gozo FC who will face each other in the remaining third round fixture on December 2. None of the Premier League teams still in the competition were drawn against each other.
The most attractive tie of the round pits Malta champions Hibernians against Marsaxlokk who still boast a very strong squad despite being demoted to Division One earlier this season.
The winner of the tie between Valletta and Gozo FC will face Vittoriosa Stars while Sliema Wanderers will play against Division One side St Patrick. Ħamrun Spartans take on Division Two side Mellieħa.
Tarxien Rainbows will cross swords with Balzan Youths while Floriana take on Melita.
Yesterday's draw threw up another derby as Division Two side Lija Athletic will play against neighbours Naxxar Lions while Division One team Mosta were drawn against Division Three outfit Għargħur.
The fourth round matches will be played on December 5 and 6.
