Still no refund for cancelled concerts

Last August, a news item in this newspaper announced the cancellation of the Ta' Fra Ben concerts and advised consumers to go to Maltapost for a refund.

Maltapost advised me that it was not their responsibility and that I should contact the number they gave me. I called the number several times and finally spoke to a gentleman who asked me to SMS details of tickets etc and told me that he would contact me later to arrange when he would be in my area to give me the refund.

I didn't hear from him despite several attempts to contact him.

I then decided to contact Maltapost, as I still considered they had some responsibility for this transaction.

After repeating my story to four people, who passed me on to someone else, I was told that my details would be passed to the sales representative who was dealing with these complaints.

Last Monday, I received a call telling me I had to contact the original number that was given to me. I asked that the caller allow me to speak to the manager but this wasn't possible, instead I was told that she would call me back (I have her name).

Surely an organisation as large as Maltapost should be able to resolve this issue on behalf of their customers? I have a receipt from them for the €30 they took from me and in my opinion that should make them responsible for the refund.
