Dangerous darkness
Can someone please enlighten me as to why the road lights have been switched off at night in the bypass between Żebbuġ and Siġġiewi for the past two weeks, if not more? Drivers are being made to drive with their bright lights on as it is impossible to see anything otherwise.
Are the responsible authorities waiting for an accident to happen to take action?

If they want to save electricity, they should make sure that only one in three street lights are turned on in EVERY street in Malta... That should be enough to provide enough lighting I guess. Leaving a whole street without light is not feasible!

A human life is worth how many units of electricity?
At least decent cats' eyes and luminescent paint for the road makings would offset somewhat the lack of road/street lighting.
Sadly we have none of the above.
