HSBC launches 'World Selection' portfolios

HSBC has launched the global roll-out of World Selection, an innovative series of investment portfolios aimed at its retail customers worldwide.

HSBC first launched World Selection in the UK early this year and has attracted over $1 billion of customer investments to date. As part of a build-out of its wealth management proposition globally, World Selection will be progressively offered to customers of HSBC across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Each World Selection portfolio has been adapted for a particular customer risk profile, ranging from a relatively cautious investor to one willing to take a comparatively high level of risk in exchange for potentially higher growth.

Investments will be in traditional assets such as bonds and equities, as well as those that are not readily available to personal investors such as commodities and private equity. Emerging markets will be among the building blocks of World Selection given the importance of these markets for global growth and portfolio diversification.

In Malta, the funds will be available with a minimum initial investment of $5,000. There is also a euro and sterling share class with a minimum investment of €5,000/ £5,000.
