Police to quiz rap stars in rape probe

Members of hip hop group N-Dubz are being sought by police as potential witnesses in relation to an alleged rape.

Officers want to speak to rappers Dappy and Fazer, whose real names are Dino Contostavlos and Richard Rawson, and have contacted the group's manager.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and common assault after an alleged incident at a Butlins holiday park in Skegness last Friday night or Saturday morning, Lincolnshire Police said.

The rap stars had played a gig at the holiday camp and an incident is alleged to have occurred after they went back to the accommodation with the suspect and three women in their early 20s from the London area.

One of the women said she was raped and assaulted and the other two said they were assaulted.

The suspect, named as Junior Edwards from Islington, north London, and thought to be a DJ, was arrested on Sunday at Skegness police station.

He was interviewed and released on police bail pending further inquiries, police said.
