So for you it would be excusable if a fireworks factory, while restoring their premises, decide to store all their bombs and stuff inside a garage beneath/besides your home? Empty gas cylinders are as dangerous as full ones.

I wonder what's all the fuss about, we drive everyday on maltese roads and it's not the first time I had to drive next to a truck load of FULL gas cylinders, in a busy road full of pedestrians. No one ever said anything or complained.
Additionally, I don't know of any laws or restrictions on the quantity of gas cylinders some one should own, so if I wanted to I could purchase 10,20,30 or more cylinders it's no one's business, mhux hekk? Unless there is a law I am not aware of!
The cylinders should technically be relatively safe, if they are not than the company responsible should get safer gas cylinders, instead of changing the cylinders AGAIN (even though the one's we have are supposedly new) and get them coloured green, the new company should make sure that the new cylinders are the safest on the market and not just painted fancy green so the general public will know they are "NEW".
Also an awareness & safety campaign should be launched every couple of years to educate the public on how to handle the cylinders in the first place, the gas and possible fire hazards.

these men were restoring their truck which is used everyday for gas deliveries. i don,t imagine them restoring the truck with the cylinders on!!!!! further more only 2 garages where in a residential area and only had some empty cylinders in them. the other garage where most cylinders and truck where is detached from buildings.

Gas cylinders should be numbered and Enemalta should have a list of all the persons who own them. Gas cylinders are dangerous items and should be treated as such.

Fine example of hedging at a time when we KNOW that gas prices will continue soaring.
Enemalta should learn a bit from this example.
On a serious note, were these guys trying to create a mass tragedy??? Sometimes common sense seems to be not so common! We all remember what happened in Paola a decade or more ago with a much smaller number of gas cylinders and two madmen who were tryign to get some insurance money!
