A Gozitan man was yesterday remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to trafficking in heroin on and before November 11.

Marvic Mercieca, 25, of Xagħra, appeared before Magistrate Edwina Grima charged with trafficking and conspiring to traffick the drug.

He pleaded not guilty and was denied bail.
