GO going first in Libya roaming services

GO is to become the first mobile provider in the world to offer data/internet mobile roaming in Libya thanks to an agreement with Libyan operator Al-Madar.

"This is great news especially for businesses that travel frequently to the neighbouring African country and want to remain in touch with their office via wireless data and internet connectivity. The service is also available for Al-Madar customers travelling to Malta," the company said..

Voice and SMS roaming in Libya is already available for GO mobile customers.

GO’s Senior Manager International, Wholesale and Alliances, Christian Sammut said GO's mobile roaming coverage was available in close to 200 countries worldwide thanks to roaming agreements with over 400 operators. In each EU country, the company had agreements with a minimum of two 3G networks, thus ensuring fast internet and data throughout.
