Ħamrun Table Football Club have represented Malta in the 2009 FISTF Europa Cup, the annual European Championships for clubs.
Held in Tournai, Belgium, on the first weekend of November, the Europa Cup was contested by 32 teams.
Ħamrun, the current Malta team champions, were drawn in group D along with Reggio Emilia (Italy), SMV Delft (Netherlands), Cardiff (Wales), Sparta Spreeathen (Germanu), SC Rochefort (Belgium), Olympia (Greece) and FTC Reincy (France).
Ħamrun went through their group commitments unbeaten, winning five matches and drawing two. The most notable results for the Maltese team in the group stage were the wins over top Belgian club SC Rochefort and Dutch champions SMV Delft and the 1-1 draw against Italian champions Reggio Emilia.
Having finished second in their group, Ħamrun were paired with Italian giants Napoli in the knock-out phase. Napoli beat Ħamrun 2-0 and went on to win the championship. In a close final, Napoli defeated Austrian side TFC Mattersburg.
Ħamrun finished 11th overall after beating TSC Royal of Austria and Cardiff and losing to Milano by sudden death in the positional matches.
The Ħamrun TFC team was made up of Kenneth Attard, Mario Camilleri, Stefan Pace and Ilai Zammit Marmara.
