After heavy defeats to Spain (13-0) and England (8-0) in their opening two 2011 World Cup Group Five qualifiers, the Malta women's team will be hoping to give a better account of themselves when they take on Austria at the Centenary Stadium this afternoon (kick-off 2.30 p.m.).

Like Malta, Austria have no points after their first two matches but that is where the similiraties between the two nations end. While Malta have shipped 21 goals in their opening two qualifiers, Austria conceded three in back-to-back defeats to Spain.

Austria will look at their match against Malta as a great opportunity to open their account but Pierre Brincat's girls will surely do their best to give their opponents a good run for their money and maybe create a surprise.

Standings: Spain 9; England 3; Turkey, Austria, Malta 0.
