Man 'resisted police'

A man who was involved in a fight in Paceville was arrested after resisting police officers when they tried to break it up, a court heard yesterday.

Roderick Micallef, 21, of Pembroke pleaded not guilty to violently resisting and threatening two policemen on Sunday. He also denied breaching the peace and disobeying police orders. Police Inspector Martin Sammut prosecuted. Lawyers Emmanuel Mallia and Arthur Azzopardi appeared for Mr Micallef.
