Greeted by the executioner

The inquisition, creepy human statues and medieval music formed part of the setting of the book launch organised by Ruth Frendo and held at the Mdina Dungeons last week.

The guests, who included media personalities and members of the press, were greeted by an executioner and treated to a reception. The event celebrated the launch of the book ‘Pandora’, which was presented just in time for the Malta Book Fair.

‘Pandora’ is the popular television programme which is currently transmitted on One Television on Sundays. It is focused on the world of the supernatural and the paranormal. It has featured exclusive interviews with some of Malta’s top personalities who, for the first time, have recounted their paranormal experiences. Some of these include Grace Borg, Norman Hamilton, Toni tal-Van, Hooligan, Gordon Pace, Melissa from Chasing Pandora, Ira Losco, Morena, Trevor Zahra, Gorg Peresso, Ruth Sammut Casingena, DJ Gianni and many others.

Two years ago, the programme caused a sensation when presenter Ruth Frendo interviewed a Maltese individual who claimed to be a vampire. Ruth’s interviewee stated that he drinks his girlfriend’s blood on a regular basis.

The best of these experiences, together with general information on paranormal subjects, are the ingredients of the new book ‘Pandora’, which is penned by Ruth Frendo and Charles Zarb and published by Wise Owl Publications.
