To mark the 50th anniversary of Maria Assumpta Technical School in Ħamrun a grand reunion is being held at the school on November 23 at 5.30 p.m. The reunion, which will be under the patronage of President George Abela and Mrs Abela, will include a thanksgiving Mass celebrated by Archbishop Paul Cremona. Other guests will include Education Minister Dolores Cristina, ex-school heads, past and present students and staff.

The school was inaugurated on October 26, 1959, as the first technical school in Malta and was finacially supported by Unesco.
