Police searching for a couple caught on camera stealing a Poppy Appeal tin and hiding it in their daughter's pram arrested two people yesterday.
Thames Valley Police launched the investigation after a man and woman were captured on CCTV as they pretended to make an appointment at a hairdresser's in Headington, Oxford.
When the receptionist at Salon Scandinavia turned her back, the tin was taken and hidden in the baby's pram, the images showed.
The collection tin was found nearby with all the cash removed.
A 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested at a house in Fettiplace Road, Headington, yesterday and taken into police custody.
