Gattuso car found in Tirana
A luxury vehicle stolen from Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso in 2006 has been found in Tirana, Albania police said yesterday. The Range Rover was impounded from an Albanian citizen who told police he had bought the vehicle from an Italian citizen.
An investigation was underway to determine how the jeep - sporting Albanian plates - had entered the country.
Luxury vehicles stolen from Western Europe often end up on Albania's streets after their plates are changed.
In 2005, Macedonian border authorities seized a BMW belonging to David Beckham, stolen in Spain and en route to Albania.
Bosingwa out for three months
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti may now delve into the transfer market in January after Jose Bosingwa was ruled out for three months. The 27-year-old defender has been out since mid-October with a knee injury and will now not return until the new year.
A statement on chelseafc.com read: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Jose Bosingwa underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee this week. His recovery time will be approximately three months."
Portugal international Bosingwa has made eight appearances for Chelsea this term, the most recent of which came when he was taken off in the second half of the 2-1 loss to Aston Villa on October 17.
United's Park fit for S. Korea friendlies
Manchester United's Park Ji-sung has declared himself fit ahead of South Korea's friendly matches against Denmark and Serbia over the coming week.
"If possible I want to play in both matches," Park told the Korea Times on arriving in Denmark.
South Korea looked to be on a collision course with Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson over Park's call-up for the national side. The English champions have sent a team physician to work with Park.
"This suggestion came from the physical trainer, not Alex Ferguson," said Park. "But Ferguson agreed to allow the trainer to come with me."
Cudicini injured in road crash
Tottenham Hotspur's Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini was taken to hospital with fractured wrists yesterday after being involved in a road accident.
"Carlo Cudicini has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after being involved in a road accident this morning," a club statement said.
"He has been admitted to hospital and undergone scans under the supervision of club medical staff."
Police were called to a collision between a BMW motorcycle and a Ford Fiesta at 1030 GMT in Walthamstow, close to Tottenham's White Hart Lane stadium.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said Cudicini's injuries could be "life-changing".
Nani reveals Fergie's fury
Winger Nani has described Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson as a "complicated man" while also admitting to being on the receiving end of some of his infamous rants.
"Ferguson is a very complicated man," he told Portuguese newspaper 'I' in an interview published in The Sun.
"He's tough. He can go from complimenting you to just plain trashing you in a matter of minutes. Has it happened to me? Hell, yes. He'll say 'Nani, how could you miss this or this'?
"He shouts at players in front of everyone. No one escapes, everybody is the same. Giggs and Neville suffer most, because they have more experience."
Huntelaar pledges to regain top form
Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has pledged to silence his critics and show that he deserves to be at San Siro.
The 26-year-old Dutch international, who joined Milan from Real Madrid in the summer, has yet to score in eight appearances this season. It has been reported that Milan were considering selling Huntelaar in January so they can bring in another striker.
"Training went well the other week, even Leonardo said so, but he also added that I have to be patient," Huntelaar said.
"We are only in November. I have been penalised by the fact the team didn't play well in the beginning. Now, instead, things have started to go well. It means that I didn't make a mistake coming here," Huntelaar concluded.
Inter linked with Otamendi move
Inter are being linked with a bid for highly-rated Argentinian centre-back Nicolas Otamendi, who plays for Velez Sarsfield.
The 21-year-old has already made five appearances for Argentina and has been dubbed 'the new Walter Samuel' by his peers at Velez.
Inter enquired about Otamendi in the summer when he was being valued at £4m but his price has soared over the past few months.
Real Madrid and rivals Atletico are apparently prepared to pay £12m for the young star, but Inter feel they have a distinct advantage over their rivals. Samuel is Otamendi's idol while the presence of three other Argentinian players in Inter's squad also adds to the temptation to join the Nerazzurri.
