Dragon Club hold seminar in Gozo

The Taekwondo Dragon Club has just organised a training camp and seminar in Gozo.

Stephen Formosa, the club's head instructor, was assisted by guests Joe Portelli (Tenchi Ryu Karate Jutsu Club) and Mario Saliba (Gozo Spirit Combat Club).

The turn-out was very encour-aging as over 50 martial artists, representing various clubs on the Maltese Islands, took part.

Last month, the Taekwondo Dragon Club also conducted a gradings test where 10 members were examined by Formosa and his assistant Josianne Formosa.

The exercise was based on the syllabus the club introduced earlier this year.

The previous syllabus has been completely revamped, from design and size to content, in order to reflect the on-going developments in the sport.

Meanwhile, the club is currently preparing for a friendly competition, to be held in Mazara del Vallo, Sicily, on December 19.
