Seasonal flu vaccines were an important protection against seasonal influenza especially in people at risk, the Health Division said.

It said in a statement that these vaccines were given free of charge to people over 55 years, those suffering from chronic illnesses and people in institutions. People under 55 should present the yellow carton as evidence of chronic illnesses, the division said.

One can get vaccinated at health centres between 10.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
