Fifth Catechetical Congress being held

The fifth Catechetical Congress is being held by the Secretariat for Catechism this week on the theme Emergency Faith.

The aim of the congress is for the secretariat to continue to understand what provoked the most in current culture and discover new and old ways of how the gospel could continue to inspire and make sense.

The congress follows the previous four held throughout the existence of the secretariat. Its

The emergency theme was chosen because of the current transition when it came to education in faith. It was easier to teach in the past as there were nowadays big challenges to spread the world of Goz in a way which touched people’s hearts and addressed the big questions.

The congress would study what the leap to the current culture implied to education in faith and would ask where it was not meeting the people’s needs. It would try to understand the messages being sent by God’s Spirit.
