The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin yesterday ordered the legal class in all ministries and government departments not to use any means of communication including e-mails, intranet, mobiles, pagers, fax and telephones.

The strike comes into effect tomorrow and is being held in light of what the union has termed as an "excessive delay" by the Management and Personnel Office in giving a formal reply about the sectoral agreement for legal officers, notaries, procurators and management working in government ministries and departments.

The union said the agreement remained unrevised for over 10 years.
