Soldiers from 1st Regiment's 'C' (Special Duties) Company last night detained two men during separate vehicle checkpoints.

In Cospicua, a 35-year old man resident there was found in possession of a 19-centimetre blade. Later in Qormi, a 22-year old youth from San Gwann was found in possession of cannabis and a joint.

Both men were handed over to the police for further investigations.
