It sure is worth downloading. Makes for an interesting read.

Page 12:
"Mr. Speaker, Irridu nibqgħu prudenti u bil‐għaqal. Ma nistgħux
nibdew inqisu d‐defiċit bħala li mhuwiex problema. Ma
nistgħux nibilgħu l‐ħrafa li qegħdin inżommu d‐defiċit
taħt kontroll sabiex nogħġbu lil xi ħadd."

Mhux Il-hofra hrafa Ton? U l-finanzi mhux fis-sod. Xejn tinkwieta. Dan id-drama kollu ghalfejn jahasra.

One of the comments that the Times passed on the Budget was: Allowance to ease impact of tariffs increase. That's the way it is. GonziPN is going to increase the water and electricity tariffs, and he didn't even bother to tell us by how much. And then he's going to give us an allowance "to ease the impact"!!!
Tajba, Gonzi. Illum ittini l-krozzi... ghal meta taqtaghli saqajja.

very good budget !!! well done tonio fenech.

worth downloading all the speech, and go through all the good incentives which the goverment managed to introduce. Again another budget without increase in taxes. Its becoming a trend and keeping up a record having budgets without taxes. Keeping in mind the difficult economic situation , i' m really surprised and proud having a government which such an integrety, and respect to us people in Malta.
what a BIG difference between gonzipn and PL.........

hope you did not forget 80's budgets..... wage freeze, korpi ta dirghajn il-maltin, and others, a list of increase on grocery items, statements like "imnalla ix-xita tinzel minn fuq u mhux tigi minn isfel, ghaliex inkella ixxarbilkom il-linfa!".... etc etc..........

poplu malti irrifletti , apprezza, u ghozz din is-serjeta ta tmexxija.
