10 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, at the Palace, Valletta.

10.45 a.m. Ms Abela visits Helen Keller School in Qrendi.

11.30 a.m. The President receives a courtesy call from council members of Koperattivi Malta, at the Palace, Valletta.

1 p.m. The President is presented with a donation in aid of the Malta Community Chest from Skola Sajf students.

11.30 a.m. The President is presented with a book entitled The Maltese by Diocese during the 16th Century by Mgr Borg at the Palace, Valletta.

12.30 p.m. The President receives a courtesy call from Opposition leader Joseph Muscat.
