The Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA) recently launched its new website, www.aaamalta.com.
The site includes details of the work carried out by the association, information and photos of dogs in desperate need of a home as well as animals that have been adopted abroad.
AAA currently hosts 135 abandoned dogs, many of which were ill-treated by their owners and left to fend for themselves. Full medical attention is given to animals taken into care, and the animal is only put to sleep if the vet confirms that nothing whatsoever can be done to cure it.
The association relies on funds collected as well as a member-ship programme, where-by people are encouraged to sponsor a dog without actually having to look after it.
This year, AAA has printed a limited number of calendars which will be on sale for €5 as of tomorrow. All funds collected from the sale of these calendars will be used to help abandoned dogs. Calendars can be purchased by sending an e-mail to icareaboutdogs@gmail.com or calling 7930 4342.
