Maltese Diabetes Association attends congress in Montreal

The Maltese Diabetes Association recently took part in the World Diabetes Congress organised by the International Diabetes Federation, held in Montreal, Canada.

The delegation was led by Anna Zammit McKeon, president, and included the association's Education Officer Moira Grixti.

The association exhibited a stand in the 'Global Village', an area within the exhibition hall dedicated to the IDF member associations.

Its objective was to serve as an avenue of exchange between associations and for the latter to showcase their activities.

The Maltese Diabetes Association exhibited information and photos of their activities in Malta and offered copies of the association's magazine to visitors. The delegates also participated in the various lectures organised during the congress which focused on both the medical and lay perspective.
