Housing Authority CEO is now ministry consultant

Paul Debattista was yesterday appointed consultant for the Social Policy Ministry and entrusted to assist with current reforms in this sector.

Consequently, Dr Debattista stepped down from his post as executive head of the Housing Authority.

The ministry yesterday thanked Dr Debattista for his "valued" work within the Housing Authority, "which helped continue to provide this important social service on a sustainable basis".

Dr Debattista served as president of the Malta Employers' Association and was the first chairman of the Malta Standardisation Authority. He also set up the Malta National Laboratory.
