Over seven weeks ago I was driving in a main street when, suddenly, a car overran a stop sign by 3.2 metres and left a brake mark of 9.2 metres, hitting my car's rear tyre - a simple collision, I thought. How wrong I was!

The other driver's insurance company came up with all sorts of excuses to avoid paying up, probably hoping that I would give up and repair the damage myself. I wrote to the Malta Financial Services Authority, but I did not even get an acknowledgment.

Here I am, the innocent victim, all this time later without means of transportation and the repairs on my car have not even started. Shame on all those involved.
